EMI Advisors Welcomes New Chief Operations Officer and General Counsel

WASHINGTON, DC; Aug. 6, 2021 — EMI Advisors is pleased to announce and welcome Laurel Goldberg as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and General Counsel. As COO, Ms. Goldberg will oversee EMI’s various business operations, including execution of the company's goals and strategic initiatives.

Ms. Goldberg brings over fifteen years of healthcare, legal, strategy, and health policy experience. Prior to joining EMI, she spent nearly a decade with Booz Allen Hamilton in its healthcare practice, supporting several high-profile health care clients on legislative and regulatory matters, external communications efforts, and compliance issues. Ms. Goldberg led diverse teams across multiple projects for clients including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Food and Drug Administration, and she held key roles in developing and executing the healthcare practice’s business development and internal hiring strategies.

Ms. Goldberg earned her JD at the University of South Carolina School of Law. After obtaining her law degree, Laurel served as a federal judicial clerk to the Honorable David C. Norton, United States District Court Judge for the District of South Carolina before earning her LL.M in Law and Policy with a concentration in Health Law and Policy from the Washington College of Law at American University.
